Focus and Scope

The journal KorDaF – Korpora Deutsch als Fremdsprache – focuses on the use of corpora in research and teaching as well as institutional teaching contexts (e.g. university, school or other educational institutions). The journal offers a wide range of topics. In addition to issues of scientific theory and research methodology, it also presents examples of applied work with corpora related to German as a foreign language. Further, the journal addresses all scientific fields related to German as a first, second or foreign language. At the same time, work, research and teaching with corpora remain a constant point of reference. Key issues are therefore corpus construction and its use for DaF, DaF didactics and DaF acquisition, educational language/scientific language/specialized language, as well as corpus-based/corpus-supported foreign and second language teaching.
